As a small scale honey producer, we have chosen to spent the extra time on managing pests and disease via manual, more labor intensive methods instead of using chemicals. An option most large scale commercial operators aren't able to do with the arrival of the Varroa mite. This makes our honey one of a few truly chemical free honeys in Australia.
Produced to strict organic standards.
We select our hive locations with great care. None of our sites have commercial agriculture within the 3 km flying distance of our bees. This means that our Raw Honey is produced from flowers on hundreds of acres of pristine Australian bush. Our honey captures the rich flavors of untouched Rainforest of Northern NSW and South East Queensland and. It is then cold extracted, screen filtered and bottled. Nothing else.
And yes, our honey crystalises after a while, the batch of honour of true raw and untreated honey.
We don't move our hives, which means that our honey slightly changes flavor as the flowers of the season vary from a playful, floral spring honey to a mature and robust honey in autumn.
